Lost the battle but the war is still on!

It has occurred that the form has lost this fortnight’s watchmark competition, our rivals are celebrating their victory and have their win held close in mind. Possibly thinking that they have won the whole term race too…

We cant let that happen!

Many marks are being lost due to misbehavior and the negative feedback that is being fed to Mr Young (our head of year) who then subtracts it from our grand total.

So whatever you do, PERSUADE YOUR TEAMMATES TO DO WHATS RIGHT!

( however hypocritical that sounds of me 😀 )

Congratulations to our new form captain: John K and his equally worthy deputy: Asim. I am looking forward to hearing from them both about their plans for the form this term!

A number of other members of the form have also taken on in-form responsibilities and will be working together to make our form room and our form the best they can be!

News-day Tuesday

So as one of our weekly activities we are going to do a news report for the class on a Tuesday morning. This involves you, in pairs, presenting a round up of news stories from the week. You have the option to present it as a serious news report or as more of a “This Morning” style show. You can use gadgets, powerpoints, props, fancy dress, music etc to make it as entertaining and original as you like but it must contain some real news stories.

I will upload the schedule for when each pair is performing asap. We kick off next week with Kasey and Simeon.

You’re in Year 9!

Hi all – can’t believe you are now in Year 9, how did this happen so fast? Exciting times for you though as this year it’s all about really taking charge of your time at LNS and your future. What subjects will you choose? How will you prove yourself to your teachers? What exciting and fun activities will you become involved with? It’s all up for grabs.

Within this excitement is the launch of this new blog for our form, where we will be able to collect all our ideas and plans for the upcoming year.

I hope that you are feeling as positive as I am – I think it is going to be a great year!
